Above and below are some of the moments captured from
the dazzling celebrations
The event kickstarted with a fashion show by local
models and then made way for the first star performer of the day -
actress
Madhushalini,
who entertained the audience by dancing to a few recent popular
Telegu songs.
Then it took singer "Maska Maska"
Smitha
and her amazing vocal chords to
stir the hearts of the 2500-strong crowd present and set the mood.
She stuck to singing Telegu film songs and a few from her albums in
the first half of the show, before moving on to Hindi songs like 'Kajra
Re' in the second round. What made her a treat to watch was that she
is a good singer as well as a performer on stage.
The mood only soared higher as
Payal
and her dance troupe swayed to item numbers. The audience went crazy as
Nitin Bali
took center stage and sung from films like 'Zeher', 'Dus' and 'Gangster'. He
even got down from the stage to shake a leg or two with the audience! In his
second session he began with his famous 'Neele Neele Amber par'. before singing
songs from his other albums and films.
To ensure that people's funny bone didn't go un touched, "The
Great Laughter Challenge" participants
Shabbir Khan
and Babu
Rao were brought in, to amuse the
audience with splits of laughter, in between the star performances.
M.D. I. Venkateshwar Reddy took the opportunity to honour
a few of the staff members for their achievements. Snacks and juices were
flowing in abundance during the show, which got wrapped off with a sumptuous
dinner.
